THANX! ![]() Because of the complexity and variety of activities within our organization this letter is designed to help each member understand the overall operation of the organization and their role as a member. Although this is by no means a complete summary of our functions, we hope this can assist in keeping FTI running smoothly. We have an exciting year planned. This includes new routines, clinics, local competitions, a performance at a USF women’s basketball game, a Christmas Parade, Christmas Show, Recital, Regional, State and National competitions. This will require the dedicated participation of everyone in our FTI family. Remember we are all working for a common goal~ that of doing our very best. Individual goals must be a part of that common goal. Always ask yourself, “Am I trying as hard as I can”, “Am I putting in %100 at practice, could I put in %110?” Yes there is a lot of effort, and sacrifice involved, but you will get back so much more in knowledge, experience, personal growth and accomplishment. Remember, you get out of something what you put into it. When our season is completed we hope you have learned even more then how to twirl well, we hope you have learned more about team work, poise, grace, setting and accomplishing goals, pushing yourself to be your very best, gained more, made friends and had fun! We will have all the tools to make our performing groups the best they can be. The important piece is you! I am excited about this year and hope that you are too. We have unlimited potential! We have the greatest twirlers, leaders, parents and instructors. Let’s all work together to make The 06-07 season the best ever! We plan to form committees this year to coordinate such functions as fund raising, concessions, prop help as well as team moms and other assistants. We are fortunate to have a great group of parents because keeping an organization of this size running well is no small task. Your work on this will be greatly appreciated. Our schedule will be put together soon and notice of any changes will be issued as soon as such is known and with the understanding that there has been a change. Most of our dates remain the same and although we understand there could be conflicts we would appreciate that every effort will be made to attend all functions. When you joined this organization, you accepted the responsibilities of participating in all of its activities. When it is necessary for absence at a function or practice let the director know in advance. To off set the cost of props, certain fees, extra expenses and all of the things it takes to run a quality program we do fund raisers. We try to have a variety available to make it easier for everyone to participate. If one does not interest you the next might, everyone usually does their part and we have only one mandatory candy sale each year. We usually need the help of everyone in one form or another when we host a competition. By paying the first month (September) class fee you agree to abide by the FTI handbook. Class fees are due the first of the month every month except August. A $10 late fee applies to payments not made the first week of the month. Rental costumes must be turned in at the end of the season. If for some reason you do not finish the year your costumes for that season will revert to property of the FTI organization and should be turned in. All students (with the exception of beginners) MUST use baton bags. Please assist me in teaching responsibility for each members own belongings as well as those of others. Keep initials on batons and please check and COUNT yours before leaving each practice. ![]()
